 Hello! My name is Allen Schmeltz and I am the author and publisher of Thoughts . . ., a monthly publication offering a quotation and personal reflection inspired by the quotation. Why Thoughts . . .? The news is filled with tragedy, negativism, and sensationalism. Hopefully Thoughts . . . provides a contrast with its positive messages. It is my hope that you will find the quotations and reflections uplifting and inspiring. I am retired from the State of California as a Training Officer and am currently involved in the local theater scene as an actor, director, and the artistic director of a local theatre for young people. My other interests include: the ocean (very much), writing, jogging, church activities, friendships, lighthouses, horseback riding, meditation, public speaking, positive people, and the undying and incredible spirit of women, men, and especially children.
